His personal and professional areas of interest include making healthcare delivery more accessible, efficient, effective, value-based, and most importantly, satisfying for patients and their physicians. Dr. Menzin believes that increasing patients’ healthcare literacy will improve patient engagement–and ultimately their health and well-being. Ron grew up in Hicksville, NY, where he attended the Waldorf School in Garden City and then Hofstra University. He received his medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship training at Nassau County Medical Center (now NUMC). Ron has been an officer of the executive committee of NCMS for six years and also serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Nassau Academy of Medicine, the NCMS Public Health Committee, and the MSSNY House-of-Delegates. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Nassau County (July 2018-Dec. 2019) and a past-president of the Community Reform Temple in Westbury, NY (July 2012-June 2013). An avid golfer, he is the immediate past vice-president of the Mill River Club in Oyster Bay. Blessed by the marriage to Joanne, he’s the proud father of three wonderful children and five exceptional grandchildren. Remarkably, his wife, father, two brothers, mother-in-law, two uncles, and three cousins have been or are currently providing healthcare to their communities.
